An Evening Under Olive Trees

Summer evenings are truly special occasions, providing the perfect opportunity to connect with others and share experiences once the busy part of the day is over.

This tour is only available a couple of evenings each week as the owners Lena and Paul have a young family. They keep their tour intimate to ensure a personal touch and to hear your story as they share theirs. The tour takes place exclusively on their farm, but the shop is open during working hours for a complimentary full tasting.

The tour starts in the evening when the heat of the day has subsided. You delve into the story behind the oils, taking a leisurely and relaxed approach to exploring the workings of an olive farm. You also delve into the fascinating ecology, history, and archaeology of the area, learning why the gentle hills around Vodnjan, with a stunning view of the sea, have been the perfect place to cultivate olives for over two millennia.

Once you complete the walking portion of the tour, you are invited to relax under the shade of the centennial trees in the heart of the grove. You are offered an expert tasting of their oils while watching the sunset over the breathtaking Brijuni Islands. You are also provided locally sourced, fresh traditional food, sparkling wine, and engaging conversation by candlelight until the stars illuminate the grove.
